Medical Affairs Manager

Typical Accountabilities:
• Acts as a country or regional expert supporting the Medical Affairs function and project teams within area of expertise
• Acts as the senior technical expert and source of knowledge in area of expertise
• Defines and delivers training for junior members of the team
• Contributes to establishing and implementing policies, procedures and standards for own work and work of others, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards and regulations
• Works closely with senior Medical Affairs colleagues to execute the Medical Affairs strategy within area of specialism
• Accountable for specialised research or delivery of internal reports for use in internal and external meetings
• Ensures own knowledge and knowledge of team members of best practices and new relevant developments is up to date

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• Essential: Bachelor’s Degree; Thorough knowledge or experience within the pharmaceutical industry and Medical Affairs function
• Desirable: Advanced scientific degree; Understanding of multiple aspects of Medical Affairs; Project management experience

• Internal (to AZ or team): Medical Affairs Function; Market Access and Compliance Teams; Sales and Marketing Functions
• External (to AZ): External Service Providers; Regulatory bodies; Healthcare professionals
